My Story
With a rich and diverse professional journey spanning the past 25 years, my expertise encompasses various fields. My extensive experience includes over a decade in fundraising, showcasing a proven track record of success. Additionally, I bring over 15 years of proficiency in Marketing and Content Creation, blending creativity with strategic communication. With a robust background, I have accumulated over 20 years of hands-on experience in Event Planning, orchestrating seamless and memorable gatherings and events.
I have maintained good standing as a Notary Public with the State of Colorado since 2005 (Notary ID 20054039819), emphasizing my commitment to professional integrity. In 2014, I earned a professional certificate in Digital Marketing, reflecting my dedication to staying current in an ever-evolving digital landscape. Furthermore, I proudly serve as a Basic Life Support Instructor with the American Heart Association, contributing to essential life-saving education.

After spending two years at CU Boulder, I transferred to CU Denver, graduating with honors on the Dean’s List. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication along with a professional certification in Public Relations. I also obtained a professional certificate in Grant Proposal Writing from Fort Hays State University.

An added asset I bring, is the coaching and peer advisory support I garnered from my membership with Vistage International. As part of their Advancing Leaders program, I have grown my leadership and mentoring skills to help improve my personal and professional development. Through this association I have access to international speakers, both in-person and via webinars, that offer me a broad and diverse business perspective.

Upon my return to La Junta in July 2014, I have dedicated myself to community service, striving to enhance the quality of life in our small, rural town. I understand the challenges our local businesses and non-profits face. Beyond my role on the Board of Directors for the La Junta Chamber of Commerce and co-chairing the Early Settlers Day planning committee in 2017 and 2018, I have contributed to the community in various capacities. This includes active participation in the Wake Up Breakfast committee, serving on the Ark Valley CASA Advisory Board, and being a steadfast member of the Girls in the Middle steering committee since 2014, where I took on the co-chair role in 2019 and 2020. Additionally, I've assumed the responsibility of Tournament Director for the Las Animas/Bent County Fire Department Fundraising Golf Tournament since its inception in May 2021. My commitment extends to being a member of the La Junta Mavericks since February 2022, and regularly volunteering with various organizations and fundraisers.

During my free time, I enjoy watching my son play sports, particularly football, and I find relaxation in the company of family and close friends. I also have a passion for live music, camping, and exploring new destinations through travel.
